Certifications for products and raw materials enhance supply chain pathways supported by recognised standards, which attest compliance with specific requirements relating to areas such as traceability, material origin, animal welfare and recycled fibre content, according to the criteria defined by each individual scheme.

AUTHENTICO RWS GRS WOOLMARK

CERTIFIED MATERIALS & PRODUCTS

AUTHENTICO

The Authentico certification, established by the Schneider Group, is a voluntary ethical code to ensure maximum transparency in the entire production process, directly connecting farmers with the rest of the wool supply chain.

Animal welfare, which is not subject to mulesing, and respect for the five fundamental animal freedoms established by the Royal Society for the Preservation od Cruelty to Animals, are also guaranteed.

RWS

Responsible Wool Standard is a voluntary standard that ensures that animals are treated with respect for their fundamental freedoms: freedom from hunger and thirst, from distress, pain, injury or disease, and from fear as well.

To ensure that the wool comes from farms with a progressive approach to the management of their land and from sheeps that are treated responsibly.

GRS – Global Recycled Standard

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary international standard dedicated to products made with recycled materials. It verifies the presence and content of recycled materials throughout the supply chain, promoting traceability and transparency criteria within production processes.

The standard also includes requirements relating to the responsible management of processes, with particular attention to environmental and social aspects and to the control of chemicals used during production.

WOOLMARK – Pure New Wool

The Woolmark Pure New Wool mark identifies products made with pure virgin wool, which undergo specific controls according to the standards defined by The Woolmark Company.

The certification attests the fibre's compliance with the required quality criteria, verifying characteristics such as composition, purity and wool performance, supporting the excellence and reliability of the material.

CERTIFIED PROCESSES & PRACTICES

Certifications applied to production processes attest compliance with requirements defined by recognized standards in the areas of social responsibility, environmental management, and the management of chemicals used during production. A pathway that contributes to documenting the criteria and practices adopted throughout the different stages involved in the creation of Guabello fabrics.

SA8000 ISO 14001 ZDHC

OUR CERTIFICATIONS

SA 8000

It is the main standard of social certification that measures social benefits in nine important areas for social responsibility in the workplace. Among the most important are:

- Respect for human rights
- Respect for labour rights
- Action against child labour
- Health and safety at work.

Guabello has joined the program ZDHC – Roadmap to zero, an international program for the best management of chemical inputs, which aims to ensure safer products, cleaner water and fresh air, with the aim of:

- Eliminate or replace hazardous chemicals
- Develop effective tools and best practices to improve chemical resource management

As part of the evolution of its production processes, Guabello pays particular attention to the management of specific environmental aspects.

This approach is applied across different areas of intervention, including the management of energy and water resources and the control of chemicals used during production processes.

ENERGY

Energy efficiency and attention to resources represent key areas of focus within our production processes. For this reason, we have installed photovoltaic systems at our facilities, with a total capacity of approximately 500 kWp, as part of initiatives aimed at supporting the management of energy consumption and promoting the use of renewable energy.

PRODUCTION

Within its production processes, Guabello has introduced specific technical solutions designed to meet defined product and processing requirements.

Among these, the finishing processes adopted for the relevant applications are fluorine-free, in accordance with the requirements of the voluntary ZDHC programme.

Thanks to the adoption of innovative technologies, we have developed solutions dedicated to water resource management and the improvement of wastewater quality. Our discharges are managed and monitored in compliance with current regulations and the requirements of programmes such as ZDHC, through the constant monitoring of environmental parameters and processes.

CHEMICALS

The management of chemicals used in production processes represents a relevant aspect for the quality and control of textile manufacturing.

Through adherence to international programmes and standards, such as ZDHC, Guabello adopts criteria and procedures for monitoring the substances used in production processes, in accordance with the requirements defined by the relevant programmes.

PLASTIC

Within our company premises, initiatives have been introduced to reduce the use of single-use plastic products and to promote proper waste management through separate waste collection.

To raise awareness among employees about reducing the use of single-use plastic, we have introduced concrete initiatives such as the distribution of reusable water bottles.
